The Hospitality Manager at Compass Community Living plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Front of House at Company Clubs and Theater venues. The Hospitality Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring superior food and beverage quality, and delivering outstanding customer service. The role requires a proactive approach to managing staff, budgets, and inventory while fostering a positive working environment among team members and clients alike. In this position, the Hospitality Manager will report directly to the General Manager and will be involved in various aspects of the business, including event planning and catering. The manager will be expected to schedule, train, and develop staff, manage the budget and inventory, and supervise the service of alcoholic beverages. Additionally, the role involves establishing a beverage program, purchasing supplies, and collaborating with the culinary team to maintain high standards of service. The Hospitality Manager will also work closely with vendors to optimize costs and ensure that the venue operates efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a background in healthcare or food service management, with 3-5 years of supervisory experience. They should be adept at managing high-volume service environments and possess proficiency in POS/Event Management programs. Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to make timely decisions are essential traits for success in this role. The position may require working evenings and weekends, particularly during events, and candidates should be prepared for an events-driven schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day operations in Company Clubs and Theater venue.
  • Ensure superior food and beverage quality and strong customer service skills.
  • Schedule, train, manage, and develop staff.
  • Manage budget and inventory effectively.
  • Train and supervise alcoholic beverage service.
  • Assist with catering events tied to shows.
  • Establish beverage program and seasonal specials.
  • Purchase alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Manage culinary program in conjunction with WPC culinary and marketing team.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with staff, venue clients, and production teams.
  • Work with vendors to increase positive cost results.
  • Oversee financial aspects of bar/concession stand operations.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of supervisory/management experience in food service and customer service.
  • Experience with high-volume a la carte and buffet service.
  • Event planning and catering experience required.
  • Proficiency in POS/Event Management programs.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact successfully with a variety of people.
  • Excellent computer skills and self-motivation.
  • Ability to keep track of large inventories and budgets.
  • Ability to work business hours extending from late afternoon into nights and weekends.
  • Creativity and attention to detail in managing operations.
  • Knowledge of state and local alcohol laws.

Nice-to-haves

  • Healthcare experience (preferred, but not required).
  • Experience managing others.
  • Finance, Loss Prevention, and HR experiences.
  • Prefer a college degree and management experience, particularly in the beverage industry.
  • Certification in service training, alcohol service, safe food handling, and first aid.
  • Certified by the National Bar & Restaurant Management Association.
