About the position

At SpaceX, we are committed to creating world-class experiences for our teams, and the Hospitality Manager plays a crucial role in achieving this goal. This position is designed for individuals who are not only familiar with basic customer service principles but also possess a solid understanding of food and beverage safety. The Hospitality Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dining and food services experience on-site, ensuring that our employees, corporate guests, and customers have positive experiences. This role involves setting the direction for the hospitality team within our Food Services department, which includes people management, planning, internal branding, and fostering a culture of development within our teams. The Hospitality Manager will oversee customer interactions, the flow of services, events, and daily catering operations. This includes setting and enforcing standards for hospitality operations, monitoring the quality and consistency of menu offerings, and ensuring that the team maintains clean and safe workstations. Training staff on customer service, food safety, and allergen awareness is a key responsibility, as is coordinating time management for the team. The role also involves monitoring financial activities related to hospitality operations and creating and maintaining departmental training materials. The Hospitality Manager will have ownership of a direct report structure with six or more staff members, conducting regular one-on-one meetings and supporting various administrative tasks such as scheduling and sales data collection. In addition to these responsibilities, the Hospitality Manager will support the Executive Chef's responsibilities when necessary and facilitate effective communication across all levels of staff. Collaboration with the culinary team is essential to align both front and back of house management, ensuring a seamless dining experience for all guests. This position is integral to maintaining a positive overall brand for the Food Services team at SpaceX's Redmond campus, where we are leveraging our experience in building rockets and spacecraft to deploy Starlink, the world's most advanced broadband internet system.
