About the position

As a Manager at Stage Karaoke & Studios, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our vibrant venue located in Boston, MA. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional customer service, managing a diverse team, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall guest experience. You will be responsible for optimizing revenue generation through strategic sales initiatives and ensuring that all operational processes run smoothly. Reporting directly to the General Manager or Owner, you will collaborate with various departments to achieve our business objectives and maintain the high standards that our guests expect. In this role, you will greet and welcome guests, ensuring that each visitor has a positive and memorable experience. You will address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, monitoring service standards and implementing improvements to enhance customer satisfaction. Your leadership will extend to recruiting, training, and supervising lounge staff, including bartenders, servers, hosts/hostesses, and security personnel. You will create staff schedules, manage payroll, and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, conducting performance evaluations and developing training programs to foster staff development. Operational efficiency will be a key aspect of your responsibilities, as you oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cash handling. You will monitor cleanliness, maintenance, and safety standards to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for both guests and staff. Additionally, you will coordinate with vendors and suppliers for equipment repairs and supplies procurement, ensuring that the venue is always well-equipped and maintained. To drive revenue and meet sales targets, you will develop and implement sales strategies, analyze sales data and trends, and collaborate with marketing teams to create effective marketing campaigns and customer loyalty programs. Compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to alcohol service, health and safety, and labor practices will be paramount, and you will conduct regular inspections and training sessions to maintain these standards.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.

  • Collaborate with marketing and promotions teams to create marketing campaigns, social media strategies, and customer loyalty programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and licensing requirements related to alcohol service, health and safety, sanitation, and labor practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and training sessions to maintain compliance standards and mitigate risks.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a lounge, bar, or nightclub setting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of beverage service, mixology, and alcohol laws and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience with TOAST POS system.
