About the position

The Hospitality Manager at Brookdale Lake Shore Drive is responsible for overseeing the security and safety of associates and residents within the community. This role includes managing the security staff, coordinating training programs, and ensuring a secure environment. Responsibilities

  • Maintain a secure environment for all associates and residents by overseeing the security guard staff.
  • Coordinate staffing schedules for the security department.
  • Initiate in-house training and safety programs related to security.
  • Oversee the security guard cross-training program.
  • Review daily logs and initiate follow-up procedures as necessary.
  • Hire, train, discipline, and terminate security guards in accordance with company policy.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for security staff.
  • Monitor all emergency and safety equipment, including security cameras and life safety systems.
  • Secure all areas of the building, checking for open doors and unusual activity.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled rounds in and around the building.
  • Respond to emergencies by contacting appropriate internal and external parties according to established protocol.
  • Assist with disaster management efforts during evacuations.
  • Work with concierge during emergencies as needed.
  • Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
  • Answer the phone promptly and respond to questions or direct calls as appropriate.
  • Strive to maintain a safe working environment through accident prevention and safe working practices.
  • Interact with residents and guests in a friendly and courteous manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CPR Certification required.
  • Valid driver's license for positions requiring travel between locations.
