About the position

At Chick-fil-A, Team Leaders play a crucial role in assisting the management team with all aspects of shift management, ensuring that every restaurant guest has an outstanding experience. This position involves supervising assigned stations throughout the entire shift and may include responsibilities such as opening or closing the restaurant in the absence of a manager, following established procedures for these tasks. Team Leaders are expected to ensure that Team Members adhere to recipes and accurately prepare all orders, maintaining the restaurant's established speed of service guidelines. They are also responsible for ensuring that workstations are kept clean and that cashiers follow proper cash handling procedures at all times. In addition to these responsibilities, Team Leaders must monitor the cleanliness of the dining room, restroom, parking lot, and overall facility. They are expected to perform various tasks as needed throughout their shift and address any guest issues that may arise, consulting with management for more complex matters. Maintaining a positive working relationship with all employees is essential, as is providing direction and feedback. Team Leaders must communicate employee performance and any policy or procedure violations to management for appropriate handling, while strictly adhering to all company policies and procedures. Responsibilities

  • Assist the management team in all aspects of shift management.
  • Supervise assigned stations for an entire shift.
  • Open or close the restaurant in the absence of a manager, following established procedures.
  • Ensure Team Members follow recipes and accurately prepare all orders.
  • Ensure Team Members are accurate with weights and measurements for all recipe items.
  • Maintain the restaurant's established speed of service guidelines.
  • Ensure workstations are clean at all times.
  • Ensure cashiers follow cash handling procedures at all times.
  • Execute proper security and cash handling procedures and hold cashiers accountable.
  • Monitor dining room, restroom, parking lot, and overall facility cleanliness.
  • Address guest issues and consult with management regarding complex issues.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with employees and provide direction and feedback.
  • Communicate employee performance and policy/procedure violations to management.
  • Strictly adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum 18+ years old
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Previous leadership experience an asset
  • Hard-working and team-oriented
  • Friendly and honest
  • Great customer skills
  • Ability to lead with a high level of professionalism
  • Effective communication with other leaders
