About the position

The Hospitality Manager at Atria Senior Living is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the community, ensuring exceptional service and hospitality for residents. This role involves managing dining and housekeeping teams, maintaining high standards of service, and creating a welcoming environment for residents. The position emphasizes leadership, customer service, and operational excellence, with opportunities for career advancement within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a well-maintained community with excellent service to residents.
  • Direct the dining room and housekeeping teams to create memorable mealtimes.
  • Hire, orient, schedule, train, coach, and counsel dining room waitstaff and housekeeping staff.
  • Provide timely feedback and consistent performance management to the team.
  • Establish and manage labor and supplies budget and expenses.
  • Manage schedules according to resident census and budgets, controlling overtime.
  • Create a restaurant-style dining atmosphere and provide high levels of customer service.
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef and General Manager to ensure resident satisfaction with food and services.
  • Review daily menu with residents and staff, coordinating room service delivery as needed.
  • Support building inspections and quality checks of housekeeping, kitchen, and dining room.
  • Train team on company standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and service satisfaction.
  • Act as 'Manager on Duty' in the absence of the General Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two (2) years of prior work experience in front of house supervision and leadership.
  • Experience in managing employees, recruiting, customer service, labor scheduling, budgeting, and expense management.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver's license and compliance with the Company's Motor Vehicle Policy standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Two (2) year Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in hospitality management or similar roles.
