About the position

The Hospitality Operations Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless dining experience for guests at our restaurant group. This part-time position involves a variety of responsibilities, including guest interactions, reservation management, and coordination with kitchen staff, all aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Review voicemails and restaurant information emails and respond in a timely manner, within 24 hours.
• Greet guests in a friendly manner and assist in answering any immediate questions about the restaurant.
• Check guests in for their reservations and provide direction for next steps.
• Create daily reservation list with names, dietary restrictions, special occasions, and member status.
• Communicate any changes to dietary requests or special requests to the GM before guests are seated.
• Coordinate the greeting between chefs and guests during seating.
• Answer all phone calls during service.
• Assist with dining room set up or cleaning tables as needed.
• Create a stipulations sheet for the next day of service and print out for Chefs.
• Clean and organize the entrance area and surrounding areas before and during service.
• Review Travail reservations email and respond in a timely manner, within 24 hours.
• Print all daily menus.
• Communicate with bar team and Sous Chefs about any menu changes and correctly format into existing menus.
• Prepare and print guest check-in cards and organize into seating times.
• Maintain Travail Membership program enrollment info and log in appropriate databases and reservation software.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of restaurant experience
• Prior hosting, Maitre D, hotel front desk, or guest service experience
• Effective communication, problem solving, planning, and organizational skills
• Superior time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks for efficient service and smooth operations
• Technology proficient
• Excellent eye for details and aesthetics
