About the position

The Food and Beverage Manager at The Franklin Mortgage & Investment Co. is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all dining and beverage services. This role emphasizes the importance of guest satisfaction, team leadership, and effective communication with upper management. The F&B Manager is dedicated to providing exceptional hospitality experiences and ensuring that quality and value are maintained throughout all service interactions. In this role, the manager will demonstrate leadership by setting a positive example for team members and fostering engagement with both team members and guests to enhance the overall experience. A visible presence in the bar and dining areas is crucial to ensure guest satisfaction and adherence to service standards. The manager will also facilitate the training and development of team members to promote growth and efficiency, coordinate staff scheduling to meet operational needs, and manage recruitment and hiring processes to achieve staffing objectives. Additionally, the Food and Beverage Manager will provide support in service operations as necessary across the bar and dining areas, conduct bi-weekly inventory assessments of wine, liquor, and beer in collaboration with the team, and keep management informed of any operational issues, taking immediate corrective actions when required.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a restaurant setting.
  • Proficient understanding of restaurant financials, including budgeting and P&L analysis.
  • ServSafe certification is required, with a commitment to maintaining compliance with all health guidelines.
  • An enthusiastic professional with a friendly demeanor and welcoming approach.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Competence in using standard software applications, including Point of Sale systems.
  • Familiarity with local and national labor regulations.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Knowledge of cocktail preparation, spirits, and beverage culture.
