About the position

Monteverde Restaurant & Pastificio, a distinguished Italian dining establishment in a vibrant urban area, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Restaurant Manager to enhance our front of house operations. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of daily service and administrative tasks, focusing on guest relations and hospitality. This position is responsible for motivating, training, and guiding front of house staff to meet the restaurant's objectives. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be prepared to assist in various front of house roles as needed, possessing comprehensive knowledge of each position. You will maintain an in-depth understanding of the restaurant's food and beverage offerings and participate in opening and closing procedures on a rotating basis. Overseeing the front of house team, you will lead training initiatives and develop training materials to enhance team performance. Conducting daily pre-shift meetings and training sessions will be essential to support the team during service, managing front door operations, and ensuring excellent floor service. Collaboration with management to drive overall restaurant success and ensuring compliance with cleaning and safety standards throughout the establishment will also be key responsibilities. Additionally, you will assist in the coordination of private events, both on-site and off-site.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-quality restaurant environment, with at least 1 year in a management role.
  • Familiarity with reservation and POS systems.
  • Strong leadership skills and self-assurance.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Prior training in sanitation and alcohol safety.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Creative problem-solving capabilities.
  • A genuine passion for the hospitality industry.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends.
