About the position

Le PasSage is an upscale dining establishment inspired by Southeast Asian and French cuisine, part of the Travis Street Hospitality Group. We are on the lookout for a dedicated leader to join our team. We seek a hospitality professional who embodies a service-oriented mindset and excels in mentoring within the dining environment. Your role will involve assisting in the management of all front-of-house activities, enhancing sales, training staff, fostering guest relations, and collaborating closely with the general manager to drive the restaurant's success. As a leader, you will be expected to lead by example in delivering exceptional service to guests. You will oversee staff training and development in food and service knowledge, ensuring that all team members are equipped to provide the highest level of service. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment is crucial, as is assisting in financial reporting and inventory management. You will support the general manager in strategic planning and operational excellence, contributing to the overall success of the restaurant.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional service to guests.
  • Oversee staff training and development in food and service knowledge.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist in financial reporting and inventory management.
  • Support the general manager in strategic planning and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years in a fine dining, high-volume restaurant, with at least 1 year in a leadership capacity.
  • Understanding of safety and hygiene standards.
  • Experience in staff training and sales techniques.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
  • Willingness to work beyond 40 hours per week as needed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Level 1 Sommelier certification is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and wine.
  • A desire to mentor and guide both staff and interns.

Benefits

  • Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 per year
