About the position

The Hospitality Operations Manager at Four Dogs Tavern and Marshalton Inn will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our beloved local eateries. These establishments are known for their warm and inviting atmosphere, seasonal American brasserie cuisine, and a strong foundation in French culinary techniques. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in managing a bustling, service-oriented restaurant environment, demonstrating a robust work ethic and exceptional organizational and communication skills. A genuine passion for the culinary and hospitality industry is essential, particularly in fostering guest relations and driving revenue growth. Proficiency in back-office operations and computer systems is also crucial for success in this role. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence by implementing standards for productivity, quality, and customer service. You will oversee daily operations across all facets of the restaurant, ensuring seamless service delivery and conducting regular inspections to verify that the restaurant meets service and setup standards. Adherence to health and safety regulations is a top priority, and you will assist in the recruitment, scheduling, training, performance evaluation, and termination of staff. Leading and motivating the dining room and bar teams to coordinate restaurant activities and special events will be a key part of your role, as will maintaining effective communication with patrons through various channels. Engaging with regular and VIP guests to enhance their experience is also essential, along with monitoring expenses and implementing cost-control measures to minimize waste. Additional duties may be assigned as required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections to verify that the restaurant meets service and setup standards.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in the recruitment, scheduling, training, performance evaluation, and termination of staff.
  • Lead and motivate dining room and bar teams to coordinate restaurant activities and special events, while sharing vital information.
  • Maintain effective communication with patrons through various channels.
  • Engage with regular and VIP guests to enhance their experience.
  • Monitor expenses and implement cost-control measures to minimize waste.
  • Perform additional duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Front of House Restaurant Management within a high-volume setting.
  • Availability for full-time work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, Toast POS, and Open Table.
  • Experience in menu editing, social media management, and website updates.
  • Possession of a Pennsylvania Food Manager Certification.
  • RAMP Certification is required.
  • Financial acumen to manage daily banking and cash handling tasks.
