About the position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to join our team at Comfort Inn & Suites in RIDC Pittsburgh. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and the hospitality industry, with at least 5+ years of managerial or sales experience. This role is essential to driving revenue growth by securing group bookings and attracting business clients to our hotel. The Sales and Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to increase hotel occupancy, revenue, and market share. This includes identifying and targeting potential business clients and groups, building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts, and conducting market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth. In addition to sales strategy development, the Sales and Marketing Manager will collaborate with the revenue management team to develop pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market. The role also involves overseeing the creation and execution of marketing campaigns, both online and offline, to increase brand visibility and attract new customers. The manager will work closely with clients to plan and execute meetings, conferences, and other events at the hotel, ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish. Leading, mentoring, and developing the sales and marketing team is also a key responsibility, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability within the team. Regular reporting to senior management on sales performance, market trends, and the effectiveness of marketing initiatives will be required to ensure alignment with the hotel's goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to increase hotel occupancy, revenue, and market share.
  • Identify and target potential business clients and groups, including corporate clients, events, and tour operators, to increase hotel bookings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, travel agents, event planners, and local businesses to promote the hotel's services and amenities.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for growth.
  • Collaborate with the revenue management team to develop pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of the Pittsburgh market and key business sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
