About the position

The Hospitality Service Technician, also known as an Event Server, plays a crucial role in providing exceptional service to clients and participants at Convene's event spaces. This full-time position involves working closely with various teams to ensure a seamless hospitality experience, maintaining high standards of service, and fostering positive relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide genuine anticipatory service to clients and participants in hospitality and conference services.
  • Interact with clients to ensure a great experience at Convene.
  • Work in partnership with Culinary, Production, and Technology teams to exceed client expectations.
  • Greet all clients with enthusiasm and friendliness.
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Provide world-class service in accordance with Brand Standards.
  • Set up, replenish, maintain, and breakdown Food and Beverage stations.
  • Accommodate special client needs and last-minute requests.
  • Develop relationships with clients and accurately answer their questions.
  • Read, understand, and execute Program Execution Orders.
  • Follow checklists and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Set up and breakdown conference rooms and refresh rooms as needed.
  • Perform facility maintenance and maintain safe, clean, organized, and well-stocked work areas.
  • Responsible for constant sanitation, organization, and proper food handling.
  • Have full knowledge of menus, recipes, and other pertinent information.
  • Perform opening, mid-shift, and closing duties in accordance with company standards.
  • Perform cleaning duties including wiping down tables and chairs, cleaning glasses, washing dishes, polishing glass and silverware, and making rollups.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times and professional working relationships with the team.
  • Follow all Company drink recipes and procedures and proficiently prepare blended and cold drinks provided by the cafe.
  • Have full knowledge of coffee and tea menu.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years server experience.
  • 1 year of coffee experience is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage.
  • Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven good organizational skills.
  • Must be highly motivated and ready to lead other team members.
  • Proficient in multitasking.
  • Food Hygiene or Food Handling Certificate preferred.
  • TIPS Certification preferred.
