About the position

The Hospitality Services Manager at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago is responsible for leading a team of event producers and engagement coordinators to oversee and produce in-person and hybrid meetings and events. This role involves strategic collaboration with various departments to ensure that all events are engaging, inclusive, and of the highest quality. The position requires advanced skills and minimal supervision, with a focus on budget management, process improvement, and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a skilled team of event producers and engagement coordinators, setting expectations and evaluating performance.
  • Oversee the team's budget, asset inventories, communications, and strategic planning.
  • Establish and implement frameworks for successful engagement opportunities and high-quality service.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure effective meeting and event planning and production.
  • Work with the Bank's food service provider to ensure high levels of execution and creativity for catering operations.
  • Ensure team members understand business priorities and adhere to internal policies.
  • Support the team in meeting service level requirements in a cost-effective manner.
  • Create and deliver tracking and measurement tools to report on success metrics and analyze data for workflow adjustments.
  • Oversee the Bank's conference and event space, developing long-term strategies to meet service and hospitality needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; CMP preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in hospitality management and project management, with at least five years in a leadership role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of meeting and event industry concepts and theories.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage program materials using PowerPoint, project management software, and Excel.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship building, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to implement and execute multiple projects on time and within budget.
