About the position

LAZ Parking is one of the largest and fastest growing parking companies in the country, operating hundreds of thousands of parking spaces nationwide. The Hospitality Valet Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations of assigned locations, ensuring professional parking management 24/7 under the guidance of the Operations Manager. This position is dedicated to fostering a people-first culture, emphasizing the importance of employee development and client satisfaction. The manager will lead a team of employees, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with payroll and human resources policies. Additionally, the role involves financial management, client relationship development, and the execution of operational plans for new locations. The manager will also be responsible for training Assistant Managers and Team Leaders, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements, and participating in labor contract management when applicable. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high service standards, ultimately contributing to the company's mission of creating opportunities for employees and value for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, direct, and develop a team of employees at parking location(s).
  • Manage, plan, schedule, train, and direct the activities of on-site employees.
  • Identify high potential employees to support the organization's continued growth.
  • Process payroll and ensure timely sign-off on hours; collaborate with the local payroll department for accurate pay data.
  • Execute plans for the opening of newly assigned locations.
  • Manage financial aspects of assigned locations, ensuring adherence to budget and revenue enhancements.
  • Oversee the transition of newly assigned locations from contract acceptance to opening, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Develop client relationships and focus on business retention.
  • Organize and narrate parking management skills for Assistant Managers and Team Leaders.
  • Implement and deliver all requirements outlined in the contractual agreement with clients.
  • Assist with operational preparations for potential new locations, including rate surveys and ticket pulls.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial and operational reports as required.
  • Maximize revenue, manage expenses, and ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining high service thresholds.
  • Manage, plan, schedule, train, and direct the activities of Assistant Managers and Team Leaders, ensuring compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  • Participate in labor contract management if applicable to assigned locations.
  • Communicate with local police and emergency management regarding operations.
  • Organize and manage event operations within LAZ Parking.
  • Monitor, review, and analyze market rate structures.
  • Complete additional projects, programs, and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ year in a Management role.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and General Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Experience with financial statements/accounting, P&L reports, and budgeting.
  • Ability to be flexible in schedule to meet operational needs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Parking management experience is preferred but not required.
