About the position

The Host/Hostess at the Sports Bar and Restaurant is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This part-time role involves greeting guests, managing seating arrangements, and providing excellent customer service while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area.

Responsibilities

• Foster a fun environment for guests and co-workers.
• Provide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to restaurant guests and staff.
• Greet each guest entering the restaurant and seat them according to specified rotation requirements.
• Maintain proper seating and reservation documentation.
• Monitor restaurant for table availability and assist in maintaining cleanliness of the dining room.
• Assist wait staff and bus persons in their duties, such as refilling water glasses and coffee cups.
• Operate a cash register/POS system, ensuring accurate transactions and financial controls.
• Complete all assigned closing duties at the end of the shift.
• Promote current casino events and programs to guests.

Requirements

• Must have an outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work required schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
• Ability to respond to visual and oral cues and work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
