About the position

The Host/Hostess at Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ is responsible for managing customer reservations, greeting and seating guests, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. This part-time role requires effective communication and time management skills, as well as a professional demeanor while interacting with customers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Manages customer reservations and greets and seats customers in a warm, sincere, and helpful manner.
• Operates the hosting software system and other required equipment.
• Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored.
• Helps bus and set tables and performs side-work and cleaning duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of experience in a restaurant setting preferred.
• Good speaking and written communication skills required.
• Good time management skills required.
• Professional dress, speech, and behavior are required.
