About the position

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team at Tokyo Grill Sushi & Hibachi Buffet. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for guest relations, ensuring that every dining experience is memorable.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests promptly with a warm and inviting demeanor.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system.
• Answer the phone to take customer orders.
• Receive and package orders for customers.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, including specials, to provide recommendations and answer guest inquiries.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and courtesy, striving for positive resolutions.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and quality food presentation.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
• Support other team members as needed to enhance overall guest services.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both guests and team members.
• Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
