About the position
The Host/Hostess at Waffle House plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers. This position involves greeting guests, managing seating arrangements, and ensuring a positive first impression of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greets all incoming customers with a smile and opens the door.
- Invites customers to find a table or shows them to waiting chairs, ensuring a short wait.
- Manages the order of waiting customers to ensure prompt seating as tables become available.
- Thanks customers as they leave and invites them to return.
- Stocks and maintains the self-service coffee bar for waiting customers.
- Hands menus to waiting customers.
- Answers customer questions regarding the menu and wait times.
Requirements
- Experience in customer service is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills.
