About The Position

The Host position at Rohr's, Morris Inn is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional hospitality and customer service to guests. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to stand for long periods during the shift.

Nice To Haves

• Previous host/hostess experience.
• Excellent phone skills and dictation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive.
• Gather information for front and back of house team members and guest seating.
• Optimize the dining experience by pacing the service team and managing the dining room.
• Present the menu and communicate with servers regarding seated tables.
• Answer phones according to service standards and ask relevant questions.
• Document details in guests' reservation accounts (OpenTable).
• Introduce valet app to guests when applicable.
• Confirm reservations with guests and update their experience profiles.
• Execute all guest interactions with professionalism, grace, and friendliness.
• Alert servers about special notes in reservations, including allergies and special occasions.
• Send VIP emails to hotel leaders for the following day.
• Write thank you cards for previous day reservations.
