About the position
Chesapeake's is seeking a Host for their Gatlinburg location, responsible for greeting guests, overseeing the restaurant layout, and ensuring tables are cleared and reset. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Responsibilities
- Greet each guest with a smile and welcome them to the restaurant.
- Oversee the layout of the restaurant and ensure tables are cleared and reset.
- Explain and direct the seating system to guests.
- Communicate volume levels to management and staff.
- Assist with To Go orders and service guests in their cars.
Requirements
- Team player with a sense of humor.
- Good math and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs frequently.
- Position requires standing, bending, and walking the entire workday.
- Excellent menu knowledge.
Nice-to-haves
- Pleasant phone voice and etiquette.
- Ability to listen and take direction from guests and management.
