About the position

The position involves serving as a host at Daily Grill, where the primary responsibility is to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The host will manage the flow of the restaurant, greet guests, and ensure a positive dining experience while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the front area.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests in a friendly and energized manner upon their arrival.
• Managing the flow of the restaurant by planning reservations and assessing server skill levels.
• Communicating wait times to guests and managing their expectations.
• Preparing the restaurant for shifts with clean menus and a tidy entrance.
• Problem-solving guest concerns using the 'LAST' mindset (listen, apologize, solve, thank).
• Maintaining cleanliness in the front entrance and performing restroom checks.
• Memorizing food and beverage offerings and executing take-out orders when needed.

Requirements

• Must have an open availability including weekends and holidays.
• Minimum of 1 year of restaurant experience.
• Positive and professional attitude.
• Strong multi-tasking ability and ability to work well under pressure.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must present a Food Handlers card within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to walk, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, and twist for 4-12 hours/day.
• Ability to push, pull, or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
