About the position

The Hosted Cloud Technical Project Manager at Cox Communications is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing resources to ensure the successful completion of complex projects and programs. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including internal teams and external vendors, to drive project deliverables and maintain customer satisfaction. The position requires a strong technical background in cloud services and project management, with a focus on process improvement and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead highly complex projects/programs with minimal supervision across multiple departments or organizations.
• Serve as a technical and project level customer contact, managing overall company customer interface relationships.
• Provide functional and technical guidance to customers and consulting staff, acting as a project lead on advanced specialized projects.
• Develop project schedules and documentation, defining and assigning work to engineers, and monitoring progress for technical adequacy.
• Accountable for overall performance and delivery of defined scope(s) of work, ensuring adherence to customer satisfaction goals and quality standards.
• Establish metrics and monitor progress to assure contract compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain relationships with new customer contacts, identifying additional business opportunities.
• Articulate complex technical concepts in an understandable format for executives and stakeholders.
• Present project updates to executives and internal stakeholders, creating customer-facing presentations.
• Accountability for planning resources for tasks, allocation, estimation, and scheduling.
• Oversee projects with a typical cycle of 12 - 24 months or ongoing.
• Provide guidance and direction to other project team members outside of owned projects.
• Establish and implement project management processes and methodologies to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
• Communicate major milestones and identify potential project risks, conducting regular status meetings.
• Set and manage client expectations, escalating issues and changes as necessary.
• Measure progress toward goals and revise project objectives, documenting change control procedures.
• Evaluate impacts and risks of changes, assigning necessary tasks to mitigate concerns.
• Develop methods to measure customer satisfaction and obtain feedback at critical milestones.
• Document technical environment dependencies for each project to support an integrated environment.
• Track and manage the creation of functional designs, assessing risks and benefits of alternate designs.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in a related discipline with 5 years' experience in an MSP industry and an additional 5 years' experience as a technical PM, or a master's degree with 3-4 years' experience, or 10+ years' experience in a related field.
• Strong preference for MSP or cloud experience.
• Proficient in MS Office, a CRM such as SalesForce, and project management tools.
• Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Industry certifications applicable to cloud and network services as well as project management are strongly desired.
