About the position

As a Hotel Agent at Caesars Entertainment, you will be responsible for managing the check-in and check-out processes for hotel guests, ensuring a welcoming and positive experience. This role involves addressing guest inquiries, resolving complaints, and providing information about hotel services and local attractions. You will play a crucial role in maintaining guest satisfaction and operational efficiency within the hotel environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process check-in and check-out transactions for guests.
  • Register guests to their rooms while accurately receiving all pertinent information.
  • Perform guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
  • Pre-register and block reservations as needed.
  • Take same day and future reservations following hotel rate structures and selling strategies.
  • Respond to inquiries and complaints in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Assist guests with questions about the city and property.
  • Help guests with booking dinner, shows, etc., when necessary.
  • Assist with guest service recovery when possible.
  • Maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times.
  • Stay informed about current events in the hotel to assist guests.
  • Act as a liaison on behalf of the guest to expedite requests.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude towards all guests.
  • Anticipate guests' needs and expectations.
  • Handle guest check-in and check-out in accordance with hotel credit and cash handling policies.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.
  • Troubleshoot in-room movie, phone, and billing problems.
  • Resolve customer complaints and answer inquiries about hotel services, events, directions, and local attractions.
  • Cancel room reservations according to procedures.
  • Balance a $1000 bank daily.
  • Prepare key packets and ensure brochures are fully stocked.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • One year experience in front desk or guest service field.
  • 6 months experience in basic computer knowledge.
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English; heavy telephone volume.
  • Ability to tolerate secondary smoke.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving ability.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficient in a second language would be beneficial.
