About the position
As a Hotel Agent at Horseshoe Casino, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for guests during their stay. This position involves managing check-in and check-out transactions, addressing guest inquiries, and resolving complaints with a friendly and professional demeanor. You will be the first point of contact for guests, providing them with information about the hotel and local attractions, while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Complete arrival and departure transactions for guests checking in/out of the hotel.
- Register guests to their rooms while accurately receiving all pertinent information.
- Perform guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
- Pre-register and block reservations as needed.
- Take same day and future reservations following hotel rate structures and selling strategies.
- Respond to inquiries and complaints in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner.
- Assist guests with questions about the city and property, including booking dinner and shows.
- Maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times.
- Act as a liaison on behalf of the guest to expedite requests.
- Handle guest check-in and check-out in accordance with hotel credit and cash handling policies.
- Troubleshoot in-room movie, phone, and billing problems.
- Balance a $1000 bank daily and prepare key packets.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in a second language is beneficial.
- One year of experience in front desk or guest service field.
- Six months of basic computer knowledge.
- Excellent oral and written communication in English, especially over the phone.
- Ability to tolerate secondary smoke.
- Ability to complete several tasks at once with accuracy.
- Must be able to stand for an entire shift (average 8 hours).
