About the position

The Hotel Assistant General Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the hotel, ensuring high standards of comfort, service, and quality for guests. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to maximizing revenue and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will create a motivating environment that promotes teamwork and growth within the hotel.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall profitable management of the property.
  • Coordinate and supervise various departments to ensure high standards of service and quality for guests.
  • Provide quality service for guests and maintain positive guest relations.
  • Implement and maintain a positive marketing and sales program.
  • Actively participate in business, community, and civic affairs in the local area.
  • Maintain the hotel in an attractive and economical manner in compliance with brand standards.
  • Ensure all reports of revenue, expenses, business volume, personnel, payroll, and assets are submitted to the Management office as required.
  • Ensure adherence to all policies, procedures, and laws by all employees.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and achieve budgeted cost controls.
  • Ensure personnel development through adequate training, motivation, and performance reviews.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree required.
  • Previous Hotel AGM or GM experience preferred.
  • 1 year of hotel management experience preferred.
  • 5 years of hospitality experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in marketing and advertising to maximize revenue.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
