The Hotel Front Desk Agent & Night Audit position at La Quinta Inn & Suites is a customer-facing role responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves managing check-ins and check-outs, handling guest inquiries, and ensuring a smooth operation at the front desk. The agent plays a crucial role in setting the tone for the guest experience and is expected to deliver exceptional service while managing various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm welcome and exceptional service to guests during check-in and check-out.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and confidently.
  • Assist in closing daily work and posting correct daily totals.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed and notify the general manager of any discrepancies.
  • Follow up with supervisors for additional training and support.

Requirements

  • Proficient in English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English; some Spanish is helpful.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in customer service and hospitality preferred.
  • Basic cash handling skills and experience with computers and software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous hotel experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual skills, especially in Spanish, are beneficial.
