About the position

The Front Desk Agent at IHG Hotel in Dublin, OH is responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences by managing check-in and check-out processes, handling inquiries, and ensuring guest satisfaction. This role requires strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor, as the agent will be the first point of contact for guests.

Responsibilities

  • Greet Guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Manage check-in and check-out procedures efficiently, ensuring all Guest information is accurate.
  • Handle Guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel services, amenities, and local attractions to assist Guests effectively.
  • Operate phone systems to manage incoming calls and relay messages to appropriate staff members.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure Guest rooms are prepared and maintained to high standards.
  • Process payments accurately and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
  • Assist in managing reservations through various platforms while ensuring data accuracy.
  • Uphold IHG Brand standards and procedures while maintaining a positive atmosphere for Guests.

Requirements

  • Strong phone etiquette with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Proven customer service skills with a focus on Guest relations in a hospitality environment.
  • Familiarity with hospitality management principles is an advantage.
  • Proficient in using phone systems and reservation software.
  • IHG Opera experience is a plus!
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
