About the position
Cobblestone Hotel & Suites in Charlestown is seeking a Front Desk Clerk to provide exceptional customer service to guests. This role involves welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring guest satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving. The position is available in both full-time and part-time capacities, with shifts primarily during the day and evening.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner.
- Book guest reservations for individuals and/or groups via phone or in-person; process cancellations and updates.
- Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and room locations.
- Ensure proper delivery of guest's special requests, such as extra pillows or preferences.
- Respond appropriately to guest complaints and ensure total guest satisfaction through service recovery gestures.
- Accurately process cash and credit card transactions, including posting charges and completing reports.
- Maintain composure and objectivity while under pressure and multi-task effectively.
- Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments.
- Maintain cleanliness of the hotel lobby and common areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented.
- Strong problem-solving skills to effectively deal with guests.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Good communication skills and teamwork.
