The Hotel Front Desk Clerk at Tru by Hilton - Oklahoma City is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests, ensuring a positive experience during their stay. This role involves managing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling room assignments, and addressing inquiries to enhance guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Greet, check-in, and check out guests when they arrive and leave the premises, distribute keys and room assignments, and record credit card information.
• Manage room bookings in-person, online, and through incoming calls, and answer inquiries about guests' needs, including questions about available rooms, amenities, room rates, special requests, and rewards programs.
• Work with the housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are ready for new guests.
• General bookkeeping: ensure all hotel guest account information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Mitigate customer complaints as needed.
• Stocking of the market.
• Maintaining a clean lobby and front desk area.
• Guest engagement and assistance.
• Duties may also include assistance with the breakfast bar, light maintenance, and cleaning a room if needed after housekeeping hours.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in the hospitality industry as a hotel front desk agent, hotel receptionist, or guest service specialist preferred.
• Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, customer service skills, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable taking telephone calls and mitigating stressful situations.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ONQ reservation management systems.
