The Night Auditor at Holiday Inn Express Louisville South-Hillview plays a crucial role in ensuring a pleasant experience for hotel guests during overnight hours. This position combines customer service with financial auditing responsibilities, making it ideal for individuals who excel in both areas. The role involves verifying financial records, executing front desk duties, and preparing reports for management, all while providing excellent service to guests.
Responsibilities
- Make sure every hotel guest has a pleasant stay
- Verify, audit, and reconcile all financial records such as room charges, cash drawer activity, credit card transactions, final bill preparation, room charges, and occupancy percentages
- Execute front desk clerk duties as required, such as processing reservations and check-ins, delegating housekeeping, security, and service requests, responding to guest inquiries, and resolving guest complaints as needed
- Complete additional bookkeeping, administrative, and accounting procedures as requested
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports to general manager, department heads, and hotel management
Requirements
- Experience in the hospitality industry or guest services is preferred, but not required
- Computer proficiency is required; experience with accounting or reservation software is preferred
- Some college is preferred but a high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Excellent customer service and communication skills are required
- Flexible overnight hours are required
