About the position

As a front desk agent at Quality Inn & Suites, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to welcome guests upon their arrival, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable. You will assist them with check-in and check-out processes, providing them with the correct keys and room numbers. In addition to these tasks, you will handle incoming calls and online room booking requests, addressing any questions or special requests that guests may have regarding room rates, available rooms, amenities, and rewards programs. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage customer expectations will be essential in creating a positive experience for our guests. In this high-energy environment, you will also be responsible for performing regular bookkeeping duties, ensuring that all hotel guest information is accurate and up-to-date. You will need to mitigate customer complaints as they arise, demonstrating your problem-solving skills and commitment to guest satisfaction. Collaboration with housekeeping will be vital to ensure that guest rooms are ready and meet our high standards of cleanliness and comfort. Responsibilities

  • Take incoming calls, online and in-person room booking requests, and answer questions about guests' needs involving room rates, available rooms, amenities, rewards programs, and special requests.
  • Give every guest a warm welcome, check them in, and check them out when they leave, ensuring you provide correct keys and room numbers.
  • Perform regular bookkeeping duties: make sure hotel guest information is current and correct.
  • Mitigate customer complaints as needed.
  • Communicate with housekeeping to make sure guest rooms are ready.

Requirements

  • Well-versed in taking telephone calls and handling stressful situations.
  • At least one year of hospitality industry experience as a hotel front desk agent or similar position preferred.
  • Has previous experience or working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems.
  • High school graduate, GED recipient, or equivalent.
  • Displays impeccable interpersonal, time management, organizational skills, and customer service skills.
