About the position

As a front desk agent at Quality Inn & Suites, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, playing a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere. Your primary responsibility will be to greet guests with a warm smile, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable from the moment they arrive. You will assist guests with check-in and check-out processes, providing them with accurate room keys and information about their accommodations. In addition to these duties, you will handle incoming calls and online booking requests, addressing any inquiries regarding room rates, availability, amenities, and special requests. Your ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude will be essential in this high-energy environment. You will also be responsible for performing regular bookkeeping duties, ensuring that all guest information is current and accurate. This includes updating records and managing reservations through our reservation management systems. In the event of customer complaints, you will be expected to mitigate issues promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction. Communication with housekeeping will be vital to ensure that guest rooms are prepared and ready for incoming guests, contributing to a seamless guest experience. Responsibilities

  • Take incoming calls, online and in-person room booking requests, and answer questions about guests' needs involving room rates, available rooms, amenities, rewards programs, and special requests.
  • Give every guest a warm welcome, check them in, and check them out when they leave, ensuring you provide correct keys and room numbers.
  • Perform regular bookkeeping duties: make sure hotel guest information is current and correct.
  • Mitigate customer complaints as needed.
  • Communicate with housekeeping to make sure guest rooms are ready.

Requirements

  • Well-versed in taking telephone calls and handling stressful situations.
  • At least one year of hospitality industry experience as a hotel front desk agent or similar position preferred.
  • Has previous experience or working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems.
  • High school graduate, GED recipient, or equivalent.
  • Displays impeccable interpersonal, time management, organizational skills, and customer service skills.
