About the position

The Front Desk Supervisor at Residence Inn Madison is responsible for leading the front desk team, assisting the Front Desk Manager and General Manager, and ensuring exceptional service for all guests. This role focuses on maximizing room revenue and occupancy while maintaining high standards of guest relations and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Front Desk Manager and General Manager in daily operations.
  • Provide attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests before and during their stay.
  • Maximize room revenue and occupancy rates.
  • Approach guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance and high standards of personal appearance.
  • Comply with hotel standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations.
  • Set the standard for guest relations at the Front Desk.
  • Monitor VIP and special guest requests, reviewing Front Office log and Trace File daily.
  • Ensure timely logging and delivery of messages, packages, and mail.
  • Familiarize with all in-house groups, rates, packages, and promotions.
  • Oversee guest check-in/out processes in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Assist in training new hires and current associates regularly.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of progressive experience in hotel or related field required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
  • Valid driver's license for applicable state required.
  • Clear communication skills required.
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to handle stressful, high-pressure situations, including guest objections and disputes.
  • Effective problem-solving skills required.
  • Ability to understand and work with financial information and data.
