About the position

The Front Office / Guest Service Supervisor at Grayson Hotel is responsible for managing the front desk operations, ensuring exceptional guest service during check-in, checkout, and throughout guests' stays. This role involves supervising front desk staff, handling guest inquiries, and maintaining operational standards to enhance guest satisfaction and financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, check-in, and checkout guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Assist with scheduling, hiring, and training front desk employees as needed.
  • Monitor, coach, and evaluate guest service representatives and night auditors.
  • Answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Obtain necessary information for room reservations and follow rate-quoting procedures.
  • Follow cash handling and credit policies diligently.
  • Operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system effectively.
  • Balance and prepare paperwork for closing shifts according to hotel standards.
  • Stay informed about rates, packages, special promotions, and in-house groups.
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures and assist when needed.
  • Support coworkers and team members to ensure efficient operations.
  • Perform special assignments and projects as requested by management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of front desk experience in a hotel or related field required.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel property management systems required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
