About the position

The Hotel General Manager at Kinship Landing Hotel is responsible for the overall performance of the hotel, ensuring an outstanding hospitality experience while embodying the core values of courage, trust, generosity, community, and adventure. This role may also include the added responsibility of Regional Director of Operations, overseeing multiple properties. The GM will lead various teams, manage financial performance, and promote the hotel within the local community, all while maintaining a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overall performance of the hotel and manage direct reports including Assistant General Manager, Chef & B, Director of Engineering, and Sales Manager.
  • Provide leadership to the Sales and Marketing, Engineering, and Homa Cafe & Bar teams, ensuring a high-energy work environment.
  • Manage revenue and cash flow, optimizing profit margins while balancing sales and operating costs with guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain departmental and property-wide annual budgets under corporate guidance.
  • Support the Sales & Marketing team in implementing a sales plan to obtain new business.
  • Participate in Revenue Management for the property and monitor guest feedback.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, and develop leadership and key employees.
  • Conduct team meetings and implement employee recognition programs.
  • Promote the property within the local community and serve as a community ambassador.
  • Monitor maintenance progress and perform property inspections with maintenance and housekeeping staff.
  • Respond to hotel emergencies and ensure incident reports are completed accurately.
  • Assist the Corporate Office with key property issues and ensure effective communication regarding hotel policies.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hospitality experience as a General Manager or in a similar role.
  • 5+ years of leadership and/or management experience preferred.
  • Sales & Marketing experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of Colorado Springs cultural and outdoor recreation opportunities preferred.
