About the position

The Hotel General Manager at WoodSpring Suites Columbia Fort Jackson is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest services, and leading a team of 8-12 staff members. This role requires a hands-on approach to management, focusing on hiring, training, and motivating the team while adhering to brand guidelines and budgetary constraints. The General Manager will also engage in sales and marketing efforts to maximize profitability and maintain strong community relations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and development by selecting, training, counseling, and motivating a small team of 8-12 employees.
• Promote and deliver exceptional guest services, ensuring cleanliness and prompt resolution of guest-related concerns.
• Develop, administer, and control the property revenue and budget expenses, including monthly inventories and ordering goods.
• Analyze Profit & Loss statements and submit P&L Variance Reports in a timely manner.
• Facilitate sales and marketing efforts to achieve revenue and maximum profitability through knowledge of the hotel surroundings.
• Develop and maintain rapport with competitive properties, local organizations, and clients.

Requirements

• 1+ years' hands-on Hotel General Manager experience, preferably in extended-stay hotels.
• Proven team development and leadership background.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
