About the position

The General Manager at Hotel Equities is the primary strategic business leader responsible for overseeing all operations of the Holiday Inn Express Two Notch in Columbia, SC. This role focuses on ensuring guest and employee satisfaction, financial performance, and revenue generation while implementing brand service strategies to exceed expectations and enhance market share.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of hotel operations including guest and employee satisfaction.
• Implement brand service strategy and initiatives to meet guest expectations.
• Hold the property leadership team accountable for executing strategies.
• Guide the professional development of the property leadership team and all team members.
• Leverage sales engines to maximize revenue.
• Build owner loyalty through proactive communication and managing expectations.
• Engage with the local community to foster relationships with officials, businesses, and customers.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hotel leadership experience in select service-level properties.
• Strong financial acumen including P&L review, budget creation, and cost controls.
• Experience with M3, ADP, and One Yield systems.
• Ability to develop leadership skills in team members.
• Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Strong initiative, perseverance, and analytical skills.
• Exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction delivery.
• Proficient in English with excellent grammar and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a Marriott, Hyatt, IHG, Hilton, or similar brand.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
