About the position

The Hotel General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring financial success, team development, guest satisfaction, and adherence to brand standards. This role involves leading the team, managing financials, enhancing guest experiences, and promoting the hotel within the local community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to maximize financial returns.
  • Analyze financials and data to drive revenues and profitability.
  • Ensure all accounts are reconciled weekly and oversee overdue accounts.
  • Review accounts payable daily and submit weekly reports.
  • Use distribution channels to drive revenue and maximize market share.
  • Develop programs to improve team member engagement and service philosophy.
  • Establish performance goals for team members and provide coaching.
  • Oversee staffing requirements and ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Collaborate with hotel team to meet or exceed guest expectations.
  • Drive improvement in guest satisfaction goals and respond to guest inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with brand and service standards.
  • Act as a public relations representative to raise hotel awareness in the community.
  • Develop action plans to reduce the hotel's carbon footprint.
  • Solicit sales and maintain a solid base of customers and accounts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3 years of hotel management experience required.
  • Valid Driver's License.
