About the position

The Hotel General Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient and profitable operation of the hotel, ensuring high standards of service and guest satisfaction. This role involves managing staff, implementing company policies, and maintaining positive relationships with guests and vendors. The General Manager will also be involved in budgeting, sales strategies, and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, train and mentor associates to ensure adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Monitor customer service and guest satisfaction through surveys and direct communication.
  • Promote the hotel and develop sales strategies and action plans.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure standards of excellence are met.
  • Maintain communication and collaboration with all associates.
  • Perform administrative tasks including payroll processing and inventory management.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of all hotel areas.
  • Address inquiries regarding hotel policies and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years of related experience in hotel management or a similar field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret business documents and regulations.
