About the position

The Hilton Garden Inn Baton Rouge Airport is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead the hotel to new heights. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving operational excellence, improving key performance metrics, and delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, food and beverage, and sales.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve key operational metrics, such as guest satisfaction scores, RevPAR, occupancy rates, and overall profitability.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team to ensure efficient and effective hotel operations.
  • Manage financial performance by analyzing data, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and local regulations, maintaining the highest level of service quality.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, corporate clients, vendors, and the local community.
  • Monitor and respond to guest feedback, implementing corrective actions to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to drive occupancy and increase market share.
  • Report regularly to ownership on the hotel's performance, including operational and financial metrics.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or in a senior leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong background in improving key operational metrics, with a focus on guest satisfaction, financial performance, and team development.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Solid understanding of hotel operations, including revenue management, cost control, and guest service excellence.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive business results.
  • Experience with Hilton or similar hotel brands is preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, forecasts, and P&L statements.
