About the position

The Group Sales & Marketing Manager at the Los Angeles Athletic Club is responsible for enhancing the hotel's visibility and success by developing strategic sales plans, managing client relationships, and driving revenue through group and transient business. This role involves working closely with the Area Director of Sales to cultivate a high-performing sales team and implement marketing initiatives. The position requires a proactive approach to uncovering new business opportunities while maintaining existing client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing strategic sales plans
  • Managing a portfolio of accounts and building strong relationships with clients
  • Identifying new clients and business opportunities
  • Closing group and transient business
  • Negotiating group and business transient contracts
  • Preparing reports on goals, sales, and profits for senior management
  • Monitoring trends and changes in the hotel and hospitality industry
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure guest needs are met
  • Attending trade shows and industry events to broaden network and increase business

Requirements

  • Minimum of two to three years of experience in Hotel Sales
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Current California Driver License with satisfactory driving record
  • Strong understanding of the hotel industry and market trends in Los Angeles
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Excellent oral, speech, and writing skills in English
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and Outlook
  • Strong analytical skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Fluency in Spanish
