About the position

The Sales Enablement Manager (Hotel) at American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) is a pivotal role within the Global Sales Enablement (GSE) team, focusing on driving hotel growth through effective project management and client engagement. This position requires collaboration with various teams to implement business development initiatives related to hotel growth, ensuring that sales and client management teams are equipped to meet strategic business priorities. The role also involves participating in customer conversations to understand client objectives and articulate the hotel value proposition effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Driving hotel growth through commercial and client engagement and effective project management.
  • Deliver against hotel growth goals.
  • Work with leaders to drive action and track results amongst the Sales and Client Management teams.
  • Effectively deliver communications and training on our hotel value proposition and provide input for continued improvement and refinement.
  • Support key client conversations where there is a significant opportunity, such as in strategic/hotel focused client meetings, RFPs, best and finals, and renewals.
  • Be an advocate and expert for all hotel related tools and services, such as payment solutions and Hotel Reshop.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel trends and customer-related hotel needs, understanding how to position to GBT advantage and address gaps with relevant teams.
  • Analyze and understand top-priority customer growth opportunities to best direct commercial efforts in support of hotel growth goals.
  • Launch change projects and commercial initiatives to the commercial organization.
  • Compile simple project plans to include progress updates, project schedule, and key risks.
  • Coordinate cross-functional and global project activities.
  • Hold collaborators accountable to avoid or minimize client disruption or impact.
  • Manage and develop relationships with key collaborator groups across the business while maintaining a collaborative approach.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in Client Management, Sales, or Consulting.
  • Interest in, or experience in hotel sales or consultancy.
  • Ability to articulate the GBT value proposition and encourage internal teams, clients, and prospects to act.
  • Commercial/sales attitude with the ability to identify and close opportunities.
  • Advanced presentation skills and comfortable leading in-person or virtual sales training to groups of 20-200 people.
  • Ability and confidence to collaborate, build relationships, and influence Senior Leaders and Business Partners.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Zoom/Webex, along with advanced writing and grammar skills (English).
  • Strategic and analytic thinking with competence in developing needs analyses.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to extract and articulate key messages, edit, and proofread.
  • Ability to lay out and format communications to be impactful.
  • Effective and convincing verbal communication skills.
