About the position

The Hotel Growth Sales Enablement Manager at American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) is responsible for driving hotel growth through effective project management and client engagement. This role focuses on collaborating with sales and client management teams to implement the hotel growth strategy, ensuring alignment with business development initiatives. The position requires participation in customer conversations and the ability to articulate the hotel value proposition to meet client needs. The manager will also be involved in training and communication efforts to enhance the sales team's effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Driving hotel growth through commercial and client engagement and effective project management.
  • Delivering against hotel growth goals.
  • Working with leaders to drive action and track results among the Sales and Client Management teams.
  • Effectively delivering communications and training on the hotel value proposition and providing input for continued improvement.
  • Supporting key client conversations in strategic hotel-focused meetings, RFPs, and renewals.
  • Being an advocate and expert for hotel-related tools and services, such as payment solutions and Hotel Reshop.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of hotel trends and customer-related hotel needs.
  • Analyzing and understanding top-priority customer growth opportunities to direct commercial efforts.
  • Launching change projects and commercial initiatives within the organization.
  • Compiling project plans with progress updates, schedules, and key risks.
  • Coordinating cross-functional and global project activities.
  • Managing relationships with key collaborator groups to drive best results.
  • Providing feedback to product and marketing teams on commercial or customer needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in Client Management, Sales, or Consulting.
  • Interest in or experience in hotel sales or consultancy.
  • Ability to articulate the GBT value proposition and encourage action from internal teams, clients, and prospects.
  • Commercial/sales attitude with the ability to identify and close opportunities.
  • Advanced presentation skills for leading sales training to groups of 20-200 people.
  • Ability to collaborate, build relationships, and influence Senior Leaders and Business Partners.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Zoom/Webex, and strong writing and grammar skills in English.
  • Strategic and analytic thinking with competence in developing needs analyses.
