About the position

We are seeking a versatile Hospitality Specialist to join our team in Grand River, OH. This role is designed for a dynamic individual capable of wearing multiple hats within our hotel and B&B operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a love for wine and food, and the ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences. From front desk operations to guest services to basic computer tasks, this role requires flexibility, creativity, and a can-do attitude. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring that all guests receive a warm welcome and personalized service throughout their stay. You will handle reservations, check-ins/check-outs, and address any guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and care. Additionally, you will coordinate and sometimes participate in daily housekeeping and maintenance tasks to ensure all rooms and common areas meet our high standards of cleanliness and comfort. A key aspect of this role is acquiring knowledge about our wines and the Grand River Valley wine region to offer recommendations and conduct tastings for guests. You will work closely with all team members to foster a positive work environment and ensure operational excellence across the estate. Your eagerness to engage with guests will be essential in providing exceptional service and ensuring a memorable hotel and winery experience. Upholding all winery standards and policies, including health and safety protocols, is also a critical part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all guests receive a warm welcome and personalized service throughout their stay.
  • Handle reservations, check-ins/check-outs, and address any guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and care.
  • Coordinate and participate in daily housekeeping and maintenance tasks to ensure cleanliness and comfort.
  • Acquire knowledge about wines and the Grand River Valley wine region to offer recommendations and conduct tastings for guests.

  • Uphold all winery standards and policies, including health and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Experience in hospitality, customer service, or related field preferred.
  • Passion for the hospitality industry, with a desire to learn about wine and culinary arts.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to handle various tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, with a valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic culinary skills are a plus, but not required.
