About the position
The Hotel Housekeeper/Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and servicing guest rooms to ensure a pleasant and comfortable experience for guests. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and order in guest rooms and public areas, addressing guest inquiries, and managing requests and complaints effectively.
Responsibilities
- Prepare rooms for cleaning
- Make beds
- Dust rooms and furniture
- Replenish guestroom and bathroom supplies
- Clean the bathroom
- Clean the closet
- Vacuum and rack the carpet
- Check and secure the rooms
- Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests (e.g. iron and ironing boards)
- Ensure public areas, such as hallways, are cleaned and orderly
- Manage guest calls, requests, & complaints in the area assigned to them
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and walk, sit, or stand for extended periods of time
- Work independently and with a team
Requirements
- A secondary school diploma is preferred
- Previous hotel-related experience desired
- Experience using industrial cleaning equipment and products is a plus
- Professional attitude is required
