About the position

The Lodge on Lake Oconee is seeking a motivated and attentive houseperson to ensure a memorable experience for guests by maintaining cleanliness and providing excellent customer service. This role involves a variety of tasks, including cleaning public areas, making deliveries to guest rooms, and assisting with special projects as directed by housekeeping managers.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, hallways, furnishings, flooring, lobby, and other work areas.
• Provide the highest level of service by anticipating, listening attentively, and responding promptly to guests' needs.
• Restock linen supply on each floor by transporting clean linen to the housekeeping storage facilities.
• Make deliveries to guest rooms for guest-requested items such as amenities, rollaway beds, cribs, bedding, and linens.
• Begin each shift by visiting assigned floors and collect trash, dirty linen, and other materials as instructed by management.
• Clean and maintain outdoor hotel facilities including parking lot, sidewalks, general grounds, and boat dock area.
• Assist the Maintenance Chief in maintaining the property preventative maintenance and repairs.

Requirements

• Proven customer service experience with a strong guest-focused mentality.
• 1 year experience as a houseperson or housekeeper strongly desired.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and products.
• Must have graduated high school or received an equivalent certification (GED).
• Possesses a strong work ethic with exemplary organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Must be able to easily lift 50 pounds.
