About the position

The Laundry/Public Space Attendant at SpringHill Suites Cincinnati Blue Ash is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in both the laundry and public areas of the hotel. This role involves sorting, washing, folding, and distributing linens and towels, as well as cleaning and maintaining public spaces such as the indoor pool, fitness center, lobby, hallways, and stairwells. The attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests and staff alike.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, fold, and distribute all linens and towels.
• Clean, dust, vacuum, mop, and clear trash in public spaces including the indoor pool, fitness center, lobby, hallways, and stairwells.
• Assist other departments with various needs as required.
• Maintain a clean work area and ensure all equipment is properly maintained.
• Load and unload washing machines and dryers according to hotel standards.
• Sort hotel linen by type, color, and size.
• Pre-treat stained linen before washing.
• Sweep and mop laundry floors and store linens in designated areas.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required by management.
• Perform light maintenance tasks as requested.

Requirements

• Entry-level position with no prior experience required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and 20 pounds constantly.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours during a shift.
• Strong communication skills to convey information clearly.
• Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
