About The Position

The Part-Time Maintenance Engineer at Hyatt House Jersey City is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of hotel equipment and facilities through routine repairs and preventative maintenance. This role requires a commitment to providing excellent service to guests while maintaining safety standards and collaborating with various departments.

Requirements

• Open availability for AM, PM, and Overnight shifts is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional courteous service to guests and accommodate various requests.
• Keep all equipment in good working order with routine repairs and preventative maintenance checks.
• Assist Chief Engineer with maintenance tasks including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, and more.
• Ensure a safe environment for guests and hotel staff by meeting all safety standards.
• Report all safety and security concerns to the Chief Engineer or Manager on Duty immediately.
• Collaborate with all departments to complete tasks and communicate effectively when working in another department's space.
• Be a team player and assist in other departments when help is needed.
• Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and aware of Job Safety Analysis guides.
