About the position
The Night Auditor at Home2 Suites by Hilton is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests during overnight hours. This part-time role involves managing check-ins and check-outs, handling financial transactions, and ensuring the hotel operates smoothly during the night shift. The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for guests and maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and complete the check-in/check-out procedure through the Property management system.
- Handle cash, credit card information, and goods at the property.
- Identify the needs of each guest and provide relevant information regarding hotel services and amenities.
- Respond to all guest requests in a timely manner.
- Take reservations from incoming callers and input all pertinent information into the hotel management system.
- Update and cancel reservations in the system as requested by the guest.
- Organize previous shifts paperwork, close and balance all room accounts and vouchers, and investigate out of balance situations.
- Run trial balance reports and perform night audit tasks.
- Prepare guest folios for express check-out.
Requirements
- Customer service experience, preferably in a hotel setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Computer knowledge including intranet, Property management system, WORD, and EXCEL.
Nice-to-haves
- Hilton hotel experience is a plus.
